Reading is free education

I thought about this headline this morning and wanted to share my thoughts. A book, or books for that matter, are the least expensive method to ascertain knowledge over a subject matter. Yes, there is the Internet as well, but unfortunately, I do not trust that medium entirely, as anybody can write anything - whether it is professionally researched or not. And I love the smell of books, turn pages, underline, highlight – I am a little old-fashioned, I guess, when it comes to books.

Anyhow, taking classes, even online classes can be expensive, and many people, especially young people, are without a job these days. I can only urge you to utilize your time wisely and learn as much as you can about a specific topic. If you can move back with your parents, do it, but do not waste your time on social media all day. Be productive and give yourself an education.

If you are a parent with young children, and you are concerned about sending them back to kindergarten, school, or those facilities may not even re-open in your County, talk to your children about what they are interested in learning about - and if they are interested in learning about engines, buy them a book about engines, if they are interested in rainbows, buy them a book about weather and if they are interest in stars and planets, buy them a book about the solar system.

Also do not forget to read to your children and even your teenagers. Reading to your children is another way of showing them your love and improves they communication skills, focus, concentration, and imagination.

In conclusion, no matter which age you are currently, if you are eager in learning about something, equip yourself with good books and give yourself a free education.
