Why I write children’s books

The value of children's books is priceless. Children’s books develop and nourish kids' imaginations, expanding their universe beyond time and place and inspire their own original thoughts. Books help to develop their personality, social and critical thinking skills and improve confidence levels. Kids are so impressionable during their developmental years, the books they read and the characters they get to know can become like friends to them. Picture books introduce young children to the world of art and creativity and stimulate curiosity.

Quality children’s books can help develop a kid’s personal opinions. Furthermore, it encourages deeper thoughts and emotional intelligence and imagination; it cultivates growth and development. They will foster a lifelong appreciation and love for reading.

My Grumpy the Iguana book series is an excellent teaching tool, touching on complex topics from environmental issues and other important contemporary causes, including social justice.

Grumpy and his friends always embark on exciting adventures that inspire kids to change the world and have a positive impact. Young readers and listeners learn about friendship and strong bonds. I write through the lens of children using words that kids easily understand. I want kids to feel empowered.

The illustrations in my books are bold and colorful inspiring visual thinking. They will help kids to analyze the story and support the narrative for additional comprehension.
